what's wrong with kobe's acknowledging that he has skillz?? the bottom line is that not many players in the league today can make the kind of shot that kobe can make. he, in my opinion, is the best player in the league today, so there's really nothing wrong with his taking pride in his amazing abilities.

also, as dominating as shaq is supposed to be, shaq can only dominate offensively when players like kobe who can give him the ball at the right moment and right position so that he can do something with it. although payton is the point guard this season, kobe still has the most assist to shaq.

i'm glad that malone and payton are with the lakers, but the fact that they gave up lots of money just to be in a team that has a good chance of winning a championship makes me lose respect for them. championship players take whatever is provided to them and find ways to turn them into champion attributes. malone and payton's decisions to go the lakers is just taking the easy route to their goal. the bottom line is that even if they have the rings on their fingers, they cannot honestly sleep at night being convinced that they played a significant role in that success. malone, maybe, but not payton...

Kobe is absolutely an unbelieveable player. Some of the things he does might just be through habit. Being looked upon as one of the best players in the league certainly can make a guy feel good when he lives up to the expectations of everyone.

When Kobe has the ball everything he does seems to just come naturally in every one of his movements.

If I could do half the things Kobe could do, you bet I would flaunt it every now and then. It's all part of the competitive level they are all playing at. They're having fun... just let them do it. I've seen far worse from other players...
