Exactly 10 years ago from tomorrow, it was my 16th birthday and I got up and went to my Grandmother's house for a big pancake breakfast. Then I went out to the driving test place in Jenks, OK and took the test to get my driver's license in my mom's Saturn. Of course I passed and she was actually cool enough to let me take her car to school that day! Later that week my Dad got me my first car, a Silver 1984 Honda Prelude. That was a cool car.

Saving up for our first house, doing all the overtime I could get.
Looking back, it's amazing how much you can achieve in ten years.

Let's see:

The girl I was in love with broke up with me a week before finals.
I failed my last engineering class, which prevented me from finishing my degree of engineering from UCLA.
The company I was with filed Charter 11, I was layoff from my airline performance engineering job.
I was lost for over 6 months. About 9 months later, I started to put my life back together. I went back to UCLA and finished my degree, then accepted the first job offer that came along.

Looking back, I'm glad I had the support of my family and friends that help me through the tough times.
