What are you saving for right now?
well i "try" saving money for a trip to Japan next year plus money to move out on my own....
too bad that savings goes right out the window due to this damn site
. I figure why I'm young this is my time to shine and spend money like it's my job (while i don't have to worry about a morgage, kids, etc.). Hey I'm keeping the economy going...

I'm saving for next year's tuition and a trip to Jost van Dyke, British Virgin Islands in 2008. I'm taking my bro to the BVI for a week for his HS grad present before he goes to med school. I don't make much, but my education and the prospect of a week of scuba and snorkeling in paradise are good motivation tools.
A 3 car garage with new slab/patio/driveway. Right now I have a 30 year old 2-car garage and a small brick patio that my S sits on (covered) for winter. Kinda hard to maneuver around when shifting the 3 vehicles.
Would love 1)heat 2)insulation 3)good shop lighting 4) subpanel 5) wash basin with plumbing and floor drain 6) loft-type access to attic space for winter storage.
That's what us married thirty-somethings save for. Now if Mr Dow Jones would get off his arse and help me save "faster" I'd be happy.

Mostly, I'm saving for a downpayment for a house with a couple acres. After that, either a motorcycle or an S2000. My wife is actually amenable to me getting a bike immediately, but I'd prefer a house with a garage so I can keep my car out of the weather and actually wash it on a regular basis.
Aside from that, maybe a new computer pretty soon - it won't set us back TOO much.
