Some of the above mentioned jobs I had also and actually liked.
carwash
lawncare
cleaning carpet...
I guess my least favorite was working at a plastic injection
molding place makeing trash cans.
One guy was killed on the big green machine that made the big trash cans when he climbed inside to clear out a stuck can and he didn't have the side door open so it closed on him. Now he and the trash can are one.

When you only have enough money for one meal every other day after the tuition is paid, left over is a blessing.
That's one thing yuppies would never understand.

1) I worked for a temp place for awhile and they sent me on some beauties. The kind of jobs where if you show up the second day right away they make you the supervisor of all the rent-a-dorks cause you're "reliable". This one place printed on plastic parts bags, like you'd buy some small auto part in at AutoZone. Well, the machine that did the hole in the top so you could slide it on a hook didn't work so they wanted me to PAPER PUNCH 5 rolls of 1000 bags. YA!

2) The same temp place sent me to a meat packing plant to stack boxes of hamburger patties on pallet and make sure the glue sprayer was stocked. MINDLESS. Then the truck drivers would come in and bitch if the pallets weren't laser straight - something about harder to get next to each other on the truck or something. Bitches.

However, doing this CRAP made me realize that if I don't stay in school that I'll end up doing this the rest of my life. And as Judge Schmeal's (sp?) said "The world needs ditchdiggers too" - I just don't want to be one of them.
