What's an American's opinion of this?

1) first off... it sounds like some political BS... only someone trying to make a point would add the bit about the guy being a taxi driver and it being his livelihood
2) the fact that it he may have been taxi driver and it's his livelihood is still completely beside the point if that was the designated punishment. If I shot someone, the gov't took my gun away... should they not because I say "I'm a hunter, how am I supposed to hunt now?"
3) but it really all just boils down to the fact that it's a really sticky situation over there. The american's are obviously there to preserve whatever peace and civility is still there. and in the lack of other authority, you do what you can and things may go right, and things may go wrong but you do what you have to. I think if crushing someone's car(2x at that) for looting some wood is the worse of it, then I'd be proud to be an american and the role that is being served.
Take a look historically at what happens when one country conquers another outright and tell me otherwise.

Hopefully Young R will tune in here, since as I understand it he has been there and knows whats going on (not what the media tells us, and not just the liberal media but the conservative as well.)
But my understanding is that there is an officer in each tank or at least one controlling what the tank operators do. My guess is that the accused did something worse than just steal wood.
Someone should take that clip and voice over it about something else that those guys did (something worse). Just to prove that you should not BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE / HEAR ON THE INTERNET.

I just wanted to say that I didn't post the vid as a Yankee bashing thing, nor do I take the narration as the only possibility of what happened. I'm genuinly interested in an American POV.
