What's the deal with hail storms lately?
I don't understand what's going on this year in the carolinas. For the past 2 months I've heard of hail storms on a WEEKLY basis. Is this normal? I've already had $6,500 worth of hail damage to my s2k this year (single incident, got caught on the highway in quarter size hail, which all damages are now fixed up) and I'm just constantly hearing about hail storms. And not just "potential for hail formation" which I hear about twice as much as confirmed hail storms.
Is this normal? Have I just been super lucky/oblivious the past several years?
I'm scared to park my car outside work now.... lol

I'm sorry I did say Carolinas, which was pretty specific. But I've relocated twice in the past 3 years between GA, SC, and NC so I've been driving around a lot through all of these areas lately and I've noticed the hail issue everywhere while listening to the radio, looking up weather forecasts for these areas, and getting emergency tv notices, etc. Still more 'southeast' than everywhere, i know, lol. Was just curious if other parts of the country were getting it bad this year too.

). . . and to answer your, "actual-actual" question, Raptor and I live in California (as well as a lot of other S owners). . . and we have no idea what hail is anymore. We have to go look it up on Wikipedia to show it to children, because they don't believe us when we say ice used to fall from the sky.
