(I, for one, enjoyed both classes, and had great professors for both. My algebra teacher had the Fundamental Theorem of Group Homomorphisms printed on the back of his t-shirt so that we could see it whilst he was writing on the board.
)
I'm the top dot, or lowest on the poll
, I didn't even need Algebra to graduate High-School. Having said that, I don't think I've ever needed any "real" math either ('cept when you helped me with the Top Speed equation, and thanks again). My time at college was spent on Philosophy/Religion/Psychology/History.

I am more of an English/History person. That being said, the highest Mathematics class I took in college was Probability & Statistics.
My wife on the other hand is working on her M.S. in Mathematics. She is taking some really weird stuff that makes no sense to me what-so-ever. Then again ...I never saw the fun in numbers. I would much rather talk about the battle tactics of World War II anyday.

I'm taking Linear Algebra right now, which seems pretty cool. Teaching myself Discrete Math was a hoot, since my teacher didn't know what the hell he was doing (first C ever in my history of math). I don't know where Discrete Math would stand among those listed.
