The last time I told someone I was seeing that we needed to talk, it was, indeed, to break things off. I emailed him to ask him when we could talk, and he responded with a "Dear John" type of email. I guess he knew what was coming? Still seems kind of chicken (not to mention sophomoric) that he couldn't talk to me and tell me himself, but since the end result was the same, I wasn't too broken up about it.

In my experience, "We have to talk" has been a bad (unhappy) thing.

 

Heh - I once got a 'we have to talk' from a girl that I had broken up with a few weeks before... It was funny - I'll share the story some time...

 

I think you need to learn that women think more than men about relationships, and tend to read a lot more into situations than men do.... I am not saying that this is wrong or anything, just saying that there is a difference in the way each sex percieves situations....

A "We need to talk" is not always the end, it could be that she sees a problem coming up and wants to talk it through to try to avoid it becoming a major problem that will break your relationship up.

If you are not getting on well at the moment, have a look at anything that might have changed in your relationship, is one of you under pressure at work/school or something??

When relationships are getting rocky, there is usually something causing it, it doesn't just happen by itself.... look for the cause, then the answer will be much easier to find

 

You can always pull out the "pre-emptive" ok, but I need to talk to you first. And then bu-bye...

I tried waiting up for her over icq last night. She wanted me to as she told me, "im going out tonight but can u wait up? We need to talk..." Anyways, I end up falling asleep! Doesnt look good on my part and there's only so many posts u can read on here to stay awake...LOL

Anyways, you guys were right in thinking that girls think differently than guys. So differently in fact, that she thought IIIIIII wanted to break up with HER! She left me a lengthy message asking me if I still loved her, if i wanted to break up, and how she was thinking about everything the entire day and coudlnt do any homework ......she really poured everything out! I wish she did that more often! I basically told her how i felt...the good and bad.....and it made ME feel a whole lot better

Tokyo_james, i think we werent getting along well cuz its that time of the month for her..LOL....its ALWAYS like this, ONCE a month!.....but it usually doesnt come to the point where she's asking me or im asking her if she wants to break up or not. Personally, I think its more pronounced because she's italian....LOLOLOL.

drogers, its all cool. I DO trust her with all the guys she talks to. Its the GUYS i dont trust! LOL.....and its not all of them. Maybe just one or two since one of them has already asked her out! And even then, Its not like I told her "NO, u cant talk to him anymore".....she kinda just did that on her own. They still talk but not as much.
