Just a random question. What's the most money you've ever found and kept or didn't get to keep?

When I was at a gas station (this happened like 10 years ago), I went inside to pay for my mom, and right at the counter on the gum rack was a $20 bill. When I saw it at first my mind didn't process what was happening, lol. It was like ooooo something green and paper, then I was like MINE!!! lol

One time I also found like a year old paycheck under the seat of my car, don't ask how it got there and I never cashed it, lol but I got it sorted out.


Anyways what about everyone else?

PS-Some bagger at Safeway in california found a bag in a cart that had $6000 in cash!

 

when i was in 6th grade i found $150 cash under a toilet seat in the bathroom at my school...you better believe i kept it...never told anyone bcs i didnt want some druggies coming after me...

I remember in highschool i was mopping the grocery store floor and somehow a piece of the mop went under a freezer and out came a $20.00 bill. that was pretty awesome!

Not too long ago when I was taking out carpet in a house I found 7-8 crisp clean $20.00 bills from 1977. I guess they hid them under there and then forgot....

 

Nothing bigger than a quarter.

 

50 bucks strewn about a parking lot in the Jersey shore. No clue how it got there, but with no one around you better believe I pocketed it. Felt like the king of the world (I was like 12 btw).

$10 on the playground in the 4th grade. then some kid ran up and told me it was his and that he'd lost it, so i gave it to him.

he was probably lieing.

i'm such a chump.

OH! and i guess this isn't money... but i was retrieving clothes my little sister had "borrowed" from me and i found a bag full of ecstasy pills and confiscated it. then i sold it to my friends and made about $250....

 

I found an income tax refund check, it had been endorsed already...a little over $6000.00 took it to the address on the check, asked for a name and some id. Didn't even get a thank you.
