What's the possibility of retrofitting the new 2.8l engine to pre '02s?

If you have the money, let's talk about shoehorning one of those RB26DETTs into the car...

Hmmm....the HP numbers aren't that much higher, but torque numbers tell a different story! I've got a 1976 Datsun Z with 5x,000 original miles on the car that I plan to restore someday. The RB26DETT looks better suited for that car!

I'm sorry, what is an RB26DETT? Sounds like a damn "Star Wars" robot!

It's the engine that powers the car many of us drool over: Nissan Skyline GTR.

Nick, maybe you can explain the potentials of this monster?

That skyline engine was built to be modded hard!
There is one Skyline in my country that pumps out 1000+hp and another doing 850hp with mid-10s quarter miles...
Yeah..aint Skylines six cylinder though?
Personally I think we are all better off with them honda engines... Skyline owners have sat in my car and envied our vtec surges and I've got comments like "sounds like F1 car!". F20C is something very special and state of the art. Keep it. Well..bore it to 2.2L by all means...
