About 20 minutes with a good twisty mountain road in the way. A little longer when I get pulled over...

24 miles each way...about 30mins in the morning, and 40mins in the evening. It's the evening drivers that make me wish I had a couple of 20mm cannon mounted behind my headlights.

Still, it's not as bad as my previous job, which was 65 miles each way. That sucked. I had to fill the car every third day, and do an oil change once a month.

Was sick of driving into downtown LA, 22 miles, 45 min. it sucked big time. Transferred closer to home in San Pedro CA, much better! Now only 6 miles away, 10 min. trip, however it can take 20-30 if I take the scenic route up the pacific coast and then down thru some twisties in Palos Verdes. Makes me luv the car all that much more.

20 mile commute, typically 40-50 minutes TO work.

40min-1hr FROM work. Traffic sucks (I navigate through one of the worst commuter areas in California, though not quite as bad as the LA area )
Sounds just like my Bay Area commute too
Hard to adjust from being able to walk to work for over a year

About 5 hours on the plane each way without delays.

NYC to ATL to MLU (Louisiana) Monday mornings and back Thursday nights. My day starts at 4am on Mondays and I don't get home until 11:30pm Thursday nights. Been doing this for almost 9 months now.

^ Hmm, consultant? I feel for you. . . depending on the project it's anywhere from 90 mins in the car to 5 or 6 + hours on the plane. Right now, it's 30 mins to the airport, + 60 mins. sitting in the airport, + 75 mins. in the air, + 45 mins from the airport to the client site = 3.5 hours on Mondays and Thursdays/Fridays. Ugh.
