Vernon Valley/ Great Gorge, NJ. I have been to Colorado, and the bowls don't compare to night skiing without lights. One night a car took out the power lines to the mountain, it hit a utility poll and we all saw the blue glow of the transformer going up. Half of us were skiing down in complete darkness, half were stuck on the lift. Another night the power went out on half the mountain and we had to ski down ungroomed, fresh 10' mounds of blown snow, now that is the pinnacle of skiing in the east.

i used to work at TimberLine here in Oregon it's the Ski resort open all year round.....it's nice for summertime, but that's about it!!
