Default Wheelie an S2000!

I was just surfing around and I came onto a site with all these cars doing wheelies. Got me wondering how much power would we need to wheelie an S2000. Provided that we have good slicks on.

i think you're right. there are a lot of muscle cars that have 600, and they do wheelies.

Horsepower makes no difference. Torque causes wheelies. You would have to compute the net (first) moment about the rear axle: weight times distance where distance is positive in front of the rear axle and negative behind it; weight behind the axle helps, weight in front hurts. The torque at the rear wheels times the coefficient of friction on the rear tires would have to exceed this value to get a wheelie.

Sounds impressive, don't it?

Imagine how impressive it would sound if I really knew what I was talking about!

I can do wheelies. There's a special trick to do them with an S with no mods. Sorry, I'm not allowed to share it with you, though.

Raptor, does it have anything to do with positioning the car on the edge of a cliff, then .....?

It can be done, but you only get to do it once

Duffer-

You found me out. I think I'm going to do it with the Geo right now.
