The right time to get married is when you can't imagine not eventually marrying the person you are with. When it feels totally natural and right. Not before and not for any other reason

I'm looking at the posts from W6Dan and AnDy as close to my response.

I was married at 23 and have had a long and successful marriage. I've been asked many times for my opinion on this issue and always reply, "don't ever take advice on the issue of marriage (including this advice)"... marriage is something you need to do when you know you must and no one has the perspective that you do. Similarly you should may know you mustn't do it... DON'T.

If it's right it needs to be done and YOU will know... advice in favour of, or against should be listened to but not necessarily heeded.

I've know a few fellows who have been extremely "mature" for their age and have been married... seemingly because "it was that time in their life". The guys I'm thinkin of are great guys but now on there 2nd or 3rd marriage.

Get the message.

Wait until the DNA test results prove that she is carrying YOUR baby!!

Seriously, you get married when she says "Yes". Every journey begins with a first step.

IMO, the right time to get married is when you finally realize you've found someone who makes you feel like you can be comfortable spending the rest of your life with (compatibility is the key)...... someone who can be your best friend for the rest of your life.

I've been married twice. The first time was because I thought it was about time. The second time I felt a certainty that I can't quite describe. When you feel that, go for it.

If you wait for the right time, you'll never do it. There is no right time, go with what you feel.

The problem is that we often get married the first time when we're not old enough to make a decision about keeping a dog!
