When will I see clear titled S2000s for less than
i think 4 years.
remember that the s2000 is very popular with those who cannot afford one. as the price goes down, you are going to see increased demand. more demand, low supply=relatively high price.
IMO, the S will follow similar depreciation patterns as the RX7 and Supra (on a % basis).

But those have some things wrong with them, like salvaged title, been in accidents, etc. Around here, I've never seen any for $15K, of any mileage. I've seen a salvaged title one for $14,999 and they would not budge on the price. Again, 4 years, according to the depreciation calculation.
OTOH, Elistan in Dallas was/is selling his higher mileage '00 for $14k even.

did you sell yours yet.. im thinking i might have to take mine to carmax soon
Where have you listed your car and for how long? I got a lot of hits from Craigslist and AutoTrader... A serious buyer eventually offered my asking price, but the deal fell through for other reasons. I think you should be able to get $16k for a '00 with 84k miles if you're patient and keep your For Sale ads active and visible. There are a lot of buyers in that price range who can't afford a car with lower mileage. The market is pretty soft nowadays, but at $16k, that shouldn't matter too much...

I haven't been a motivated seller recently though. It's difficult to let go.
$14k is about what KBB and Edmunds spec out for a private sell. In good condition. Retail, last I checked, is in the $18k range or so.
