I used your guys advice on purchasing a dvd player and very pleased. Now where online is the best place to shop for dvd's. I am interested in racing and anyhting to do with cars.

The dvd's I would love to get are "Grand Prix" and "Le Mans" but cant find them. Any ideas are appreciated.

besides the obvious www.amazon.com, try reel.com and dvdexpress.com - I've had great luck with service from all of these vendors.

Try dvdexpress.com. They have a good selection, and are fairly cheap.

go to http://www.techbargains.com and depending on your order use one of the coupons to save money at amazon, buy.com, etc.

Try this for price comparisons. They also list coupons that may be applied to your purchases. www.dvdpricesearch.com

As Shatten suggested, www.reel.com was great and has been bought out by Buy.com. If you decide to shop at Buy.com, use this site to link to Buy.com. They will give you 2% back on every purchase. They also have a bunch of other stores to shop at with various % rebates. www.ebates.com

I have over 300 dvd's and averaged around $5 each for the 1st 200 or so. The days of the incredible deals are gone. You'll be lucky if get them around $12 now.

Defiantly buy Super Speedway!!!!! Especially if you have surround sound. Every one should have this disk wether you like cars or not.

BTW which player did you wind up getting?

http://www.buy.com generally has some great prices - also real good coupons for new cusotmers. If you're in the mood for quite a few dvds they've got good $30 off $150 purchase coupons for returning customers. Every little bit helps!

The best deal going right now - if you want to start a collection is to sign up for the Nextcard Amazon Mastercard. You get 1 point for every dollar you spend and 3 points for every dollar spent at Amazon. Cash in 500 points for a $10 Amazon Gift certificate.

Good places to search for hot deals http://www.dvdtalk.com - check out the Columbia house deal threads. Some good stuff going on there.

I second the Super Speedway recommendation. AWESOME!!! I've got about 12 of the IMAX discs and they are all great! If you have any questions please, email me.

Some of the best prices I've gotten on DVDs is by pre-ordering them before they're released. Amazon is the one which is easiest to use for pre-ordering. If there's a DVD that you want and isn't out yet, you can ask to be notified when it's available. They send you an e-mail and you can pre-order months in advance at a pretty low price. I've done this for the Bug's Life Special Edition, the Toy Story Special Edition, the Jurassic Park combination and the T2: Judgement Day Special Edition among others.
