I'm so sorry for those poor people in those buildings. Surely this constitutes an act of war. If the perpetrators are indeed from Afghanistan the Taliban should be forced into surrendering them or suffer the consequences. I hope the US hits back ... HARD.

You can be sure that the US will hit back hard. We took action against somone who was taking some oil from us much less killing thousands of people, destroying the epicenter of American business, attacking the Pentagon, bombing the Capitol building and making an attempt on the President's life at his vacation spot. The people of the US will have it no other way, we will take serious actions.

Muz, I'm sure that you can be convinced that this will happen. The Congressional spokespeople have a unified front in retaliating hard against the perps of this...

Moveover, the Taliban came out early on and said that they are sorry and that they had nothing to do with it. It's the old "he who cracks first, broke the egg" kind of thing, IMO.

Looks like we'll some of those planes and weapons that were just at the Chicago Air and Water Show a few weeks back. They have no idea what they are in store for when this strike ensues, if ABL's group is guilty...

I saw that footage of some neighborhoods in Palestine having a real party after the bombings this morning.

Bin Laden has always been quite proud to stand up and take credit for the atrocities that he's planned, but he's quiet on this one. That really makes me scratch my head...

There is stuff going on in Afghanistan right now! They don't know what is going on, but there is tracer fire and several large explosions.

I am still shaking from this horrible tragedy...
There will be hell to pay for what has happened.
You can bet that military spending will JUMP tremendously due to this event.

From MSNBC:

"While no public accusations of blame were made by the U.S. government, senior officials, along with experts on terrorism, were unanimous in their belief that the attacks were the work of Osama bin Laden, the Saudi exile who leads the shadowy Al-Qaeda terrorist organization.
