Colin:

Nutrition Information For SPAM (original style):

Calories Per Serving: 170
Calories Per Serving From Fat: 140
Serving Size: 2 oz.
Servings Per Container: 6 (large) or 3.5 (small)
Total Fat: 16g
Saturated Fat: 6g
Cholesterol: 40mg
Sodium: 750mg
Total Carbohydrates: 0g
Fiber: 0g
Sugars: 0g
Proteins: 7g
Vitamin A: 0%
Vitamin C: 0%
Calcium: 0%
Iron: 2%

If the Low sodium Spam is 25% less that still comes out to almost 600 mg of sodium for 2 ounces... more than 30% of my daily allowance for sodium. That does not take into account what ever I eat with it. A typical slice of bread is 120-150 mg sodium and 1 slice is a serving. So how does one make a sandwich??

I really can't anymore, I am waiting for a liver transplant. I used to eat a lot of Spam when I was younger, as well as Vienna Sausages. Not just the serving but I looked at the can as a single serving.

Sorry to hear that

Best of luck to you.

My dad used to scarf down a can of Vienna Sausages at one sitting. As much as I love , I just can't get into Vienna Sausage.

They do make incredible bait for snorkling though.

Spam or the sausages?? They might work for hook and line as well, I'll have to give it a try.

The sausages. Went snorkling in Guam and a friend recommended crumbling up VS as bait for the fish.

We were completely surrounded by fish - it was amazing!
