Who Has Blockbuster Online DVD Service?
I have been using Netflix for a few months now and have been pretty satisfied with it although there are some new titles that are not always available. But now a good section of my queue is unavailable because of the high demand of these titles and lower quantity that they have in stock. My question is for you Blockbuster online subscribers, is this also the case? Blockbuster has lowered their price to $15/month and if the availability is better, I'd like to switch. Thanks.

I have used the 3 main movie services and I have found blockbuster to be the best. In terms of availability, to me the selection is as good as Netflix, however sometimes certain movies you have to wait awhile to get--its fine with me, because I get other movies in the mean time. To me, they delivery is faster than netflix and you get two instore rentals a month with blockbuster. For the most part I've never waited on the new releases--except for maybe one or two.
The trick with blockbuster and the new releases is to put the movie you want in the first spot of your queue the day before the title is released in the stores. Since all movies are released on tuesdays, that means put it #1 on monday--and you are pretty much guaranteed the movie first.

I have to agree. I'm an avid movie watcher and have been using Netflix since it first came out. It was great at first, but as more and more people subscribed, availablility and delivery time just got worse.
Blockbuster Online is cheaper and probably a better bet especially if the actual store is close by your place for convenience sake.
Hope this helps.
PS: Which ever you choose, I highly recommend "City of God" if you haven't watched it yet.
