[rant] I hate that Christmas and New Years are on Wed/Thurs. A lot of people are getting Friday off for both of those weeks making for a nice 5 day weekend 2 weeks in a row. Not me though. I have to work both Fridays!!!!

That be me. I have to work this Friday b/c the Dir. of IT is on vacation, and that leaves all admin duties to me. I can't take the day off. But I do get to have a vacation for the next week and a half afterwards.

 

Almost same story here, have to work this thurs, fri and sat but have all next week off.

 

I'll be working on both days.

 

Yup, I have to work both Wednesdays and both Fridays... That's the nature of the (retail) business, I guess...

 

I have to work everyday the stock market is open. Which equates to 8 days a year that I don't need to work (other than weekends).

 

I have to work x-mas day and new years, and I worked on thanksgiving. this sucks

 

Im with ya Raj. I have to work the fridays too. To make matters worse I was looking forward to 3 day weekends then next year, but was told that next year is a leap year so the holidays will fall on Saturday.

i gotta work both fridays too, but i dont mind. i love my job.
