Who loves dogs?
As a pet, dogs > cats.
However, a cat will whip a dog any day of the week. I've got a 75 lb mutt and she charged a cat in the middle of the street yesterday and pulled up WELL short of the cat when the cat got its fur up and started its warning rowl.
She kept charging the cat as the cat kept running away but she never did get up enough guts to actually tangle with it. Pretty funny, to me.
Our old Siamese was cornered by a German Shepherd, a Doberman, a black Lab, and two beagles and they couldn't touch him. They left with scratched noses and not a taste of cat fur to show for it.
Anyways, after my dog chased that cat, later that night I went back to the shed to get something and she ran out when she heard the gate shut (as I came in). She didn't see me, though, so she just watched the shed for a while. I started slamming the door to see if she'd investigate. She wouldn't but she kept watching. Then I started growling and that set her off barking her "Dad, come out here - there's something in the yard" bark. I did that for a while and she kind of left, then came back (nervous, apparently). I decided to have some fun so I crept out of the shed with a small mattress and then charged her FAST while barking really deep and loud. She took off like she'd seen a ghost. She went to leap the fence but was at the wrong angle so started to race around the perimeter of the yard, just barking like crazy.
I nearly died laughing. When I finally called her name and asked her what was wrong, she still couldn't believe it was me and kept barking. I talked to her for another five or ten seconds and she finally calmed down and ran over to me. She was so relieved, she kept pressing up against my knee and bumping my hand to pet her. I felt bad but it was pretty funny all the same.
