Post Who wants to play scam the scammer?

So, the other day I put out an ad to sell my old xbox since I never play it. I got a number of responses but got this one that stood out the most as a scam

Subject : re: xbox + 12 games for sale

Dear seller, I am new to craigslist, and i am very much interested in your item.how many do have for sale and I want to know if the item work in perfect condition.so i can take the next step.when replying back to me i want you to send me your email address.Thank you

knowing it sounds like a potential for scam, I replied back simply...

"Sure it works perfectly, however I would like to deal with locals so I can just meet up and do the transaction. Thanks for looking though! "

then I get...

Subject : REDAY TO BUY[Extremely urgent]............................

Thanks for your reply, am ready to offer you $230.00. Actually, i am confused presently because i have recieved a lot of offers from different sellers having thesame item with you which i dont know what to do as at now. Anyway, i think i have made up my mind on dealing with you and i will appreciate it if we can deal on trust and transperency.
I will be going to the bank to make your payment with postal money order (western union auction payments) and as soon as my payment is approved by the bank, they will contact you through your email address and update you on payment status if the payment is approved or denied.I would have loved to pay with paypal but, i cant afford to be burnt twice, visit this site and you would understand better
( www.paypalsucks.com).
I will be paying all the shipping cost of the item to its destination which means you dont have to pay a dime. I am buying the item for my son who his celebrating is birthday in west-africa, to this end, as soon as you have been notified by the bank that, my payment as been approved,i will like to have the item shipped, cos once payment is approved, a tracking number will be sent to you which will allow you to track the payment to your address online.
If this is okay by you, let me have your full name and address as it will be written on the money order so that, i can proceed with the payment immediately.
I will be waiting to hear from you soonest.

OH WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO Suggestions?

Nothing, all you'll get is junk e-mail and bogus traveler checks or money orders. It's a total waste of time.

Tell him you will ship it to him first and he can pay you once he gets it and tests it out and all you need now is his shipping address...

Not really. I've scammed back two before and made out with money Usually have them pay 1/3 or 1/4 +shipping as a deposit for me to send out and then leave it at that. Free money

My personal vendetta at getting these stupid scammers back. Just thought I'd share this experience
