Who's Rule Is It?
A post on a thread on another forum got me to thinking.
In calculus, there is a result generally known as "l'Hopital's Rule".
Does anyone here - perhaps with a mathematical background, perhaps not - know whose rule it really is?

I see no reason why it would be someone else's rule... given that mathematicians are all about recognition.
