Coming back from vacation in TN the other day, I had a guy in a Tercel on his cell phone, doing roughly 80 mph, try to merge on top of me. He didn't even look, just moved over.

I'd been watching him (he was coming up behind a slower vehicle) and figured he was going to make a move. He didn't come THAT close, but I laid on my horn. Nearly scared him to death - he whipped back into his original lane (nearly hitting the car he was trying to pass), then slowed down considerably.

Seriously, why do people do things like that? What in the world could induce you to make a move like that, at that speed, in a vehicle weighing well over a ton, without at least glancing around you? Insanity!

How about the idiots who literally stop in traffic because they are about to miss their right turn and need to get over a lane. Rather than just drive around the block, they will stop traffic. What the hell is wrong with people! I guess they are simply saying they are more important than everyone else around them.

This reminds me of this thing that happened a few months ago. I was driving to work on the left lane of a major two lane street, behind this lady, and she stops her car right in the middle of the road, for no apparent (at the time) reason.

I mean seriously, one moment we were going 30-40mph, the next she slows to a stop, and was just sitting there.

I drove around her, and realized why - someone had called her on her cellphone, so she had to stop her car, look for her cellphone, pick it up, and continue driving while talking on the phone.

You simply had a lot of "probablies" that weren't remotely accurate.
It was the only logical reason one would drive like that, so I assumed the best of people. However, for the record, i did mean it when I said if that wasn't the case then he's an idiot.

[ot]Magician,

Not that I will understand, but what is your license plate / alvatar supposed to mean?

Pseudo Fore? When i searched, it took me to some kind of PseudoPrime website....????

Maybe your name is Sudo and you are for "Real Estate"

We have a plate here at work that says "wer 4 3" (which in redneck means "we are for dale earnhardt" (however you spell his name).

[/ot]

Well, you got the "pseudo" part right.

Phase II requires that you pronounce each character: four-are-ee.

Hint: it's a red sports car.

Never try to teach a pig to sing: it wastes your time and annoys the pig.
