Why can't people learn to speak English?
I hate the way people use "myself" such as "John and myself went to the ballgame." Would you say "Myself went to the ballgame?" What about "Dick should email it to John and myself"? Would you say "Dick should email it to myself?"
WTF?!
WTF?!

We (nearly) all know that the pl. of "goose" is "geese"; however, I believe the pl. of "mongoose" is "mongooses".
Anyone know for sure?

I am amazed that anyone (native English speaker or otherwise) can speak this language correctly. I am in awe of people who have to learn it as a second (or third) language. Although we don't have the masculine and feminine word issue that languages such as French and Spanish do.
Isn't a lot of this covered in the Pet Peeves thread from awhile ago? (Is "awhile" really a word?)
