fair enough...you are right about that...i just get a little defensive because i know alot of people in the region.

I feel bad for those in iraq as well, even some of the iraqi soldiers who really have no choices...

 

ya, I totally agree, I think I could have been percieved as coming off too strong and I aplogize for that, all this war stuff is makin me a little too stressed out, I'll be much more relaxed when I have a couple in my system

It wasn't HondaGal that locked the thread it was me..

I locked it, becuase I could see the posts flying back and forth and it would only lead to more hurt feelings, and more battling on the forum

I wouldn't throw out terms like hypocritical and unwarranted so lightly..

The mods and admins are doing the best we can to accomodate political posts, even though everyone knows that they are against forum policy..

If it was up to me I would lock everyone of them.

it was my hope, that leaving some open theads would keep the discussions to just a few threads, that isnt the case...I have to read about why some one shouldn't be passing along info read in Road and Track because its owned by the French. oh where was that thread? ahh ya in S2K talk..

So I can take it upon myself to use my best judgement as to which threads remain, I can petiton to have all threads locked, or I can just sit and watch, while people argue on and on, and see that the anymosity caused alienate users of this forum, so as that they no longer wish to participate.

For me, it really wasn't the issue that you locked my thread, I could care less, not a big deal, I just feel that you MUST be consistent when deciding what threads to uphold and lockdown, because there definitely was bias shown... I am sure if I made the exact same post, although this time I said "Help support the US and our troops" (Sound Familiar?) it wouldn't be locked.. anyways, I understand your perspective as well, and only ask that you be consistent, that is the main focus for me..

Quit being goofy

Just let it go already, its war, its ugly and its on. If people have so little time and feel that blabbing about this is going to make a bit of good come out of this action then everyone is mistaken. Take the time to think about the lives and families being impacted and forget about who said what.

Not everyone on the planet has to agree with US foreign policy just like you don't have to agree with what is being said about it and Americans.

I think its time to kill the politcal threads...
