Default Why Do People Tint Their Nice Cars???

OK, I understand in sunny regions but if you have a nice car, why tint? Wouldn't you want to be seen in it?

Agreed. Even in sunny weather, I'd rather see out of all the windows (too many crazies out there - I don't want to miss 'em) and then there's the "be seen" aspect, too...

I've never been into to tint on anything other than a black car.

To me it makes the windows look "dirty". I like a nice squeeky clean window.

It's not about being or not being seen. It's because it looks better. Less, uh, school bus like.

During summers when temps can hit 113F, it's a life saver.

I didn't buy my S to be seen.......my windows are nearly black, yes on some cars it looks good and others it doesn't.

What ever floats your boat, it's your car so do what you want.

besides when you roll with the top down your can't ask for much more attention.

Unless you use Limo tint, it doesn't effect the visibility TO the outside at all. It makes a pretty substantial difference in hot summer areas.

As for being seen, I guess maybe in a ferrari or something, but I'd prefer to keep myself cool rather than look cool.

It looks good and it not only cuts down the amount of UV rays/sunlight, but it also helps protect your interior. I've tinted all my cars.

I'm not worried about "being seen" in the car. Sounds like an ego thing.

Next time you're watching TV ask yourself why all the cars in the car ads have tinted windows. I guess they figure the cars will sell better if they look ugly .
