Default Why do "rednecks" back into their parking spots.?

Ever since Highschool, the rednecks used to back in their pieces of shit, then pop the hood and show everyone their goods.

I work in a mostly hillbilly manufacturing plant and these guys pride themselves on backing into their parking spots.? I guess in case there is a fire.

Anyway.... why is it mostly inbred's are the guys who back in.? is it like this in all parts of the country or just Pennysltucky?

I have backed in my garage about 3 times when my vehicle needed uploaded.

I'm not a red neck or hillbilly, but I do ALWAYS back into my garage or parking space.

Since I've owed mostly low sport cars most of my life, its out of habit so I don't scrape the front bumper against a parking block.

I back into my spaces about 90% of the time as well, the other 10% is when I'm too lazy or it's diagonal parking.

I never considered myself as a redneck; however, I must be because I always back into parking spaces, my driveway, everywhere I park. I find it more difficult and a little dangerous to back out of spaces, since the visibility isn't as good as when I pull out of those spaces.
You might find it easier as well Scot. Try it, you might like it.

i got family in WVA, and they dont seem to back into spaces...i didnt meet this one guy with a civic with 20K done to it with a west virginian accent, that was great. Anyway, i should try to back in thing. My dad took my M3 over the front of a concrete tire stop thing in a garage and tore the shit out of the bottom, 600 buckz to fix!

I am not a redneck or a hillbilly. I back my S into parking spaces to show off the front end, which looks better than the rear -- how's that for honesty.

Scot, I think you're letting your personal experiences give you a rather myopic view of the world. Plenty of non-rednecks park like that.

It was kind of a joke, but I do not really know anyone who backs in other than people I would describe as rednecks... my neighbors for example.... they do not fit into the neighborhood (they both have to work aweful hours just to afford the house, he chews snuff, and "don't got no good grammer")... anyway... they back in....

Why on earth would anyone back into their garage? all of the exhaust gases go into the garage and into the house? YA, that is way smarter than just pulling in.

I guess it is just not my thing....

o ya... with as small as our cars are, i have never had a worry
about hitting the curb or parking block with my car..... i don't have any reason to pull up that far.

I still think backing in looks gay.
