I live in a dorm on an Air Force base. It houses younger, single Airmen. I like Smirnoff. I don't like beer. I was ok with beer until I drank a lot one night and was sick the whole next day, throwing up an empty stomach. Now, whenever I taste beer (Budweiser especially), I get the same feeling in my stomach that I did that day. I can't stand it.

Smirnoff tastes good and it gets the job done. There is this guy in the dorm that has made some comments in the past about Smirnoff being a "girly" drink. I shrugged him off and ignored him.

Tonite, my friend was going to his room to get himself another beer, I told him to grab me another one while he was at it. This guy was there and made a loud comment like "Get a real drink before you go asking someone to get you another one." I was like, wtf, this guy is just tryin to put me on the spot. I told him to stop worrying about what I'm drinking and just worry about the game of pool he's playing. He get's all defensive and starts saying crap like "You wanna go? Let's go! We can go outside and handle this if you want." I was tellin him to back off, I wasn't going to get in trouble with my superiors over his opinion of what I'm drinking. Of course, since he's all up in my face being loud, people start egging it on. There were a couple of cute girls there, and one of them I have a crush on. I'm always really nice to her, and she acted nice back. But tonite, she was laughing and when some guy stuck up for me saying he drinks Smirnoff too, she said "Then you're a pussy too."

Pisses me off. I was the one being reasonable and had every right to tell him to worry about his own shit, but I'm the one who's the pussy because I decided against getting a fight. I guarantee that if I wasn't in the Air Force, I would have just hit the guy and not even bother arguing with him.

This is just a rant because now I'm depressed and mad all at the same time. I feel like I should just give up and not leave my room.

And if this doesn't make much sense, I've had a few "bitch beers", so my judgement is a little questionable.

 

Forget the girl. To judge somone based on what they drink is very shallow. to shallow people. You did the right thing, no matter what idiotic bystanders think.

 

Some women like jerks, because they need someone to bitch slap them around. Don't worry about it, this girl sounds like a moron anyway.

Some women are insecure jerks, just like guys. No surprise. Next time you are in a similar recreational setting with this girl, make a point to very nicely ask her if she would like a beer. When she says yes, tell her where they are.

Obviously, the guy hassling you feels inferior, and was just trying to use you to make himself feel better. Sounds like he has a right to feel inferior.

 

You did the right thing. You don't need a stupid fight on your record.

As for the girl, ahh hell with her...you didn't wanna be associated with a chick like that, now did you? Look at it this way: At least now you know what she's like, rather than find that out later on...

well i'm a girl and i think you did the right thing.. guys like that dude you're talking about are a complete turnoff.. in my humble opinion.. and that girl (if indeed she used that kind of language in front of a room full of guys) is lacking in class and elegance jsut as much as she is lacking good taste in guys
