make asian people look so bad?

i know this is a worthless thread and a tireless rant, but just so annoying. similar things can be said about blacks or hispanics, but at least they have the chance to look cool as well.

ie: in pirates 3, all they show of asians is nasty sex crazed henchmen and prostitue bath houses. there are a million more examples from other media, but no one probably cares.

i get that media wants to make money, but does it make more money by defaming a whole race/continent of people?

Usually when you enter pirate territory, you're bound to find some unscrupulous characters. Did you expect the ruthless pirates to have a pristine castle made of marble with Bach playing in the background?

 

why do you blame the media when you take images in movies as "defaming a whole race/continent of people?" Sounds like you are the one jumping to the conclusion that all Asians are the same as that portrayed in a scene in a movie

where have you been? for the masses, media IS reality, esp when it's untrue.

 

You have the right to not watch. You have the right to let others know. You have the right to picket the theatre. You have the right to not buy from the Disney store.

It's a free market, vote with your dollar.
