mingster-

If you have Chinese Algie Eaters, they may be chewing on the sides of the Koi. It happened to me once. If not, take a dead fish back to the pet store where it came from and say "WTF, I want a new one and why is this happening?"

JAGlady has had Koi for four years. When she bought them they were about two inches long. Now they're 16 inches long! The Koi pond is beside the back entry of the house and, though small, is a great feature.

She has trained the fish to "beg" for food! They come up to the surface and open their mouths wide like little birds. They will actually eat out of her hand!

We had three to begin with. One night they were visited by a racoon. Now we only have two.

One day I had the bright idea to practice my fly casting in the Koi pond. I thought JAGlady was going to feed my two inch parts to the recoon!
