sucks watching play by play text updates at work. might try to break for a bar this afternoon to watch the reds go down
the commentary from yesterdays game was hilarious...i think they called it a travesty of justice

There is a mini Euro '08 thread in the European forum lol. There have been some great games in this tournament so far, and I can't wait for the one tomorrow and the final on sunday.

I guess I can take the same view as some people who enjoy playing baseball, except I won't be so hardkore about it.
True, often times the games can go for the whole regulation time of 0-0 or maybe a point up; however, its called "the beautiful game" across the world for multiple reasons. The average american, who knows almost nothing about soccer, can watch the game and not notice some of the beautiful footwork that these professionals can do. I've seen quite a few passes and crosses that are incredible, and the Germany vs Turkey game yesterday was one of the best premier games I've ever watched.
I can see how you might not find it exciting, but that's fine. I'm not going to try and persuade you why to watch soccer. If soccer was as prominent on tv as football, I might not find it as interesting either. Yet, since I only get to watch it every two years (World cup and Euro cup and olympics) the wait for it really builds up tension and its awesomet o watch the pros.
Hate on me, but you're missing out on a great sport imo.
