I was at college when the first GTA came out. It was pirated there like mad. You couldnt walk down the dorm hall without seeing or hearing it in every single room.

 

GTA2 was awesome but after GTA3 the whole franchise changed.

 

It's funny I went into gamestop today to check out some games, DUH!!! Anyways, there was this 12 year old kid or so with one of his friends, pointing out different games and letting his friend know about them. I overheard him say "This is the game most people buy PS3 for," pointing to GTA4, which is availible for every platform so whatever... then he goes "yeah my favorite game for PS3 is probably Ironman." Sigh, kids these days.

 

I just read some of the posts in this thread... and it seems like we're all disappointed by the in-depthness of video games because we're all growing up, haha!

I haven't been impressed by a video game in a while, as ihearts2ks mentioned... it seems like they could have done much more to GTA4, but then again I don't know.. maybe i'm just getting older and losing my care for video games.
