Default Will a Mac keyboard work on PC?

I do a ton of graphics work and tend to split my time between Mac (in the lab, etc) and PC (at home). Unfortunately, this causes complete havoc trying to use keyboard shortcuts.

Does the Mac keyboard work on a PC?

If so, how do the "command" keys function? Do they retain Mac-type uses, or do they somehow switch to PC? (I'm refering specifically to the apple, alt, and control keys vs. the control, alt, and windows keys).

The apple pro keyboard will work just fine with '98, ME, 2000, and XP. It won't work on '95. The keyboard will work not only the usual keys, but also the usb-ports and the media keys (except the eject one)

You won't have to install any drivers, windows will just recognized the keyboard and it works.

In The Device Manager it is listet as HID-blabla -Device)

The volume controls work, but no eject. The "help" key works as an insert key (it's in the same place). The Apple key works as -- surprise -- a windows key. The Control and Alt are in reverse positions from my dell keyboard, but work as labeled. The three new keys -- F13-F15 don't do anything, so you lose the functionality of the keys that were there before:

Printscreen (the only one I used)/SysRq
Scroll Lock
Pause/Break

Linux 2.2.? (RH 7.0) also recogonized the keyboard fine. F13-F15 don't return Xwindows codes at all, so it might be a little harder to make these do things.

Thanks!

Clarification: Are you saying that my keyboard shortcuts will remain the windows variation on the mac keyboard (ie, on a mac the apple key is where my alt key is on PC) regardless of what the keys are labelled?
