Default Win for Russia

Four American prisoners held for years in exchange for 10 Russian spys caught less than a month ago. Doesn't really seem like a good deal to me. Yes get the Americans back, but what moron brokered that deal?

What, you think we should let our own citizens rot in a foreign jail longer out of spite?

Plus, the Russian spies never actually got any intel, so why keep them around?

Espionage was the "War On Terror" in the cold war era. Back then, there was no al-Qaeda or Taliban to deal with.

Is that what you read in my statement? I don't think that's what I said.
My point is I think it sends a very weak message. It says, sure, come and spy on our country, it won't matter if you get caught.

Just asking for clarification. The implication is that to punish this group of ten, the four over in Russia (who I've learned aren't American after all) would have to stay in jail there. I was wondering if you had considered that a factor?

I think what he is trying to say is that we need to wait for 6 more American spies to get captured in Russia before we do the trade.

Since 4 < 10, I am guessing he thinks it is "unfair."
