it looks like my Win2000 doesn't want to remember how i like to view the folders (list style). everytime i go into the folders i have to reset the view preference - anyone know why it's electing to forget my preferences?

 

After you make your view change, go into tools / options and make sure you click apply to all folders.

I'm using XP right now, but if there is any setting like "remember each folder's setting" or "simple folder views", obviously make sure to un-check them and re-apply changes to all folders. click OK after that
