winter sucks!! Your best bet is to buy a beater to drive during the winter. If that's not feasible get some really good dedicated snow tires.

Two things...

1) Get some snow tires and you'll be fine. I use Blizzaks, others use other tires. I didn't have any problems or scares last winter, but snow wise, it was pretty mild.

2) Don't bring up the "w" word while it's 70 degrees out!!!

i think alot falls on experiance driving in the snow, i managed to drive with s02's in pa in every snow storm we had last year with out a single problem couldn't go faster then about 30 but no spin outs etc, i bought the s right before our first snow storm in the winter, this year i will get some blizzacks though and continue to drive it every day

every ones diffrent if you can get a second car it would be nice more room especially with a jacket on but if the s is the only car just be patient and take your time you don't want to crash it

Without snow tires, you will get places faster by walking if there is snow on the ground

Thankfully I will have a truck to drive in adverse conditions this winter.

Even with winter tires, I don't want my S in the snow/ice for practicality purposes as well as cleanliness.
