Wireless dsl/cable modem router??
Has anyone here try the wireless broadband router??
There are several on the market including Linksys, SMC,
NetGear... anyone try them and can comment about them?
I've used linksys wired router before and it needs reset occasionally...
Thanks,

I have the SMC.. with a download of the latest code it is 100% reliable. Great features and decent price, I recommend this one.

Thanks for reply.. I assume that your SMC is not locking up like mine.. (do you turn your computer
off after use? I don't)... any further comment on SMC's indoor range? How about some advanced
support such as DMZ (allows outside to see your internal ip, for game use)?
Thanks,
The very early versions of the code had a problem or two, but the latest version when properly configured has had zero problem in the past couple of months. I have a computer on one of the four ports that never is powered down. The computers using the wireless connections are laptops so they come and go.
There is DMZ support although I don't use it. I like the print server so that the laptops can print without coming through my desktop. The DHCP and WEP security features work great. Range is everywhere in my condo and outside on the patio, but I probably have not tested further than 60 ft.

I use the Linksys 4-port wireless access point. I too had issues with it until I flashed the unit with the latest firmware. Ever since then, it has run like a champ. I use Lucent "Gold" pcmcia cards which are very good.
I'd stay away from the Linksys pcmcia cards as they consistently get poor reviews, specifically for lack of distance.
