Default wisdom teeth pulled

Hey all,

As the title states, I got my wisdom teeth pulled just the other day. They took my two bottoms and top left--for some reason my top right never grew in according to the x-rays. I don't remember walking out of the clinic, but I do remember hugging he hot dental technician when I was leaving out the front door. I hope I didn't say anything too cool when I was all drugged up

I woke up this morning swollen and sore all up in my grill. Stained my pillow with a little spot of blood too. How long should I expect to go w/ slight blood? I was told not to put any more gauze in so I wouldnt disrupt the blot clotting process.

I'm hungry!!! How long did it take before u guys could eat normally?

Thanks,
james

It varies from person to person, I was really sick for a while after I got my teeth pulled and it took a while for the pits to heal up decently.

I was out of it for a week (all 4 pulled) - I was crying when I left according to my Mom (don't remember that). During the drive home with my crying I had asked for a Frosty from Wendy's and a Big Mac from McDonald's (which I could not eat btw). They told me that when I "woke up" I had my broken teeth in my hand and was talking up a storm about it (don't remember that).

It varies for everyone. Take the Vicodin and take it easy. Eat Jello and pudding To keep the swelling down, tie the toes of two long socks together and fill each sock with bags of ice. Then tie the tops of the socks on top of your head so the ice sits on your cheeks. Then take a picture and post it up

Got all 4 of mine taken out like last month. 3 were easy, 1 was impacted to all hell.

Getting my wisdom teeth pulled was the coolest thing ever. Going under felt awesome, and then while I was under, it felt like someone was grinding on my teeth, and then I woke up next to my mom and some assistant explaining to me what I had to do when i went home, but i kept passing out and she'd wake me up and say I had to listen. Then I went home, passed out, woke up, changed gauze, the bleeding had stopped (good job platelets!) and then I went to my friends house for chicken parm that night. Hell yeah!

limit yourself to food that don't require you to open you mouth that wide...soups, jello, pudding.

Give up eating for a couple days, vicodin is your friend. Avoid cigarettes and straws.

I had my 6 out a few years ago (two each top left and right, my brother had it the same way) and it sucked. They had to crack the bottom left, hit a nerve, and part of my face was numb; except for pain. Pain was amplified for about 6 months, pretty much sucked.

I think I just got lucky when mine came out. I had them taken out about 10am and ate dinner that night. Hurt like hell but it was tolerable. Like most everyone has already said, it varies from person to person. No real way to tell whats gonna happen
