Default Woohoo! Signed my docs yesterday!

I'll get the keys to my new (used/preowned) house next week Finally, at the age of 30 I've finally bought my first home. Prices in Orange County is ridiculous - for the price I paid on this townhome I could've bought a freakin' ranch in Texas...but it's mine, all mine

The good news is that 3 homes (same exact model) that sold after I went into escrow were all mucho more expensive...

Hey congratulations! I'm about ready to go through the same dance.

You think you are happy now? Just wait until you go to sleep and wake up in your own house. It's a wonderful feeling!

Congratulations!! Sigh...I'm hoping to do the same thing sometime this year. I find the whole process of saving money, looking for homes that will fit my price range....and calculating the down payment I'll need to have....all that is so stressful!

You are where I want to be

congrats. How much is it per sq foot. I ask b/c my cousin bought a house in San Jose and it was $260/sqft. I almost passed out when I heard that. That same house would have gone for $75/ft in Tx.

But it is a great feeling to know you own your own house!
Actually, the bank owns it.
