I was going down the highway on the way to work when I notice a pretty tastefully modded 350Z. It was dark silver, with volk gt-c's, and it seemed to be lowered a bit.

We stop at the light, and he's like,

Him: hey bro! what kinda exhaust is that?
Me: it's a t1r
Him: sounds nice as hell dude!
Me: thanks
Him: Yeah I got a nismo intake and a nismo exhaust but that's about it, what about you?
Me: Just this for now, and I got rid of the cat and replaced it with a testpipe, I just got it about a week ago
Him: Ah ok, sounds nice as hell when you downshift bro!

He probably said that b/c I always rev match when I downshift to slow down, and it makes it sound sorta like a bike since the rpms go up really fast

Then I told him it sounds even nicer after 6k, we waited for the cars infront of us to move, then i floored it at 6k rpm in 1st gear and redlined 2nd, and he came up to me again to tell me how sweet it sounded

I wanted to run him from a dig but it was 4pm on a major highway so that would have been a bad idea o_O

 

he sounded really cool too...?

eh...i actually got a compliment from a mod'd G35 coupe owner on my stock exhaust - he was convinced I had an aftermarket exhaust. I felt like telling him to please not jock my car two days before I'm set to trade it in at the dealer...his G35 was sick though...19X10.5"s 5Zigens, lowered, nice clean ground effects. I've been drooling over his car since I've been going to that pizza shop.
