Did I read that right....the second tower COLLAPSED?!!!!

I am having a very tough time getting onto news sites....even through the Canadian news sites.....


Please keep us informed....I'm checking every other minute.

 

Can anyone give a brief summary on NYC and DC? I am stuck on a technical call with no news.

 

Two planes were hijacked - both apparently commercial jets (one AA, one United). They were flown into each of the Trade Center Towers, 18 minutes apart. Just 20 minutes ago or so, one of the Towers completely collapsed.

Eyewitnesses say that a small twin-engine non-commercial plane flew low into the Pentagon and caused an explosion there.

Reports just came in that there has been some sort of explosion on Capitol Hill, but that is unconfirmed.

 

News Update:
One plane hit the north tower of the world trade center.

Second plane (a American airline 767 from boston) hit the middle of the south tower.

A third plane hit the pentagon.

An unconfirmed fourth plane hit the base of the south tower.

The south tower collapsed(confirmed)

 

 

I'm in mid-town as well. I'll never make it back to NJ today.

 

this is insane...our country is under attack

i used to work in the area
i have so many friends who still work there
i can't get in touch with them...this is very scary
i have no idea what to do it's like a mad panic here and i'm about 45mins from the city...

Damien Hughes aka ICEMAN666 works in the world financial center which is across the street from WTC let's hope he was evacuated safely...

Reports now saying it was a large plane that hit Pentagon.

All air traffic is at a stop. The FAA has closed all airports.

 

Another report has just said a car bomb has exploded outside the State Department. (again, unconfirmed - just reported)
