Isnt there a story that says Michelangelo was given the job of painting the Sistine Chapel after drawing a perfect circle?

Found this:

Many years ago it the Sistine Chapel had a barren ceiling. The church started seeking out people to paint the overhead. Knowing that he was one of the best artists in his day, they came to Michelangelo and asked for a sample of his works so he might be considered for the contract.

Michelangelo's reply was quite simple yet elegant. He put a parchment on his easel, grabbed a brush then painted a perfect circle...

The rest is history.

There used to be a math teacher at Santa Ana College who could draw large circles like that. Handy when you're teaching trigonometry.
