Nice job -- but what the hell is up with you people buying houses 2 feet from one another? Might as well live in a condo.

Come on Steve, give the guy a break. He might not even be able to hear the traffic from the 10 or 15 freeways from his house. He might even have a great view of the The Cajon Pass too.

I love the way the grill is turning out. I'd love to have something like that. Heck, I wouldn't even mind a paved backyard. Looks like a nice place to relax to me.

That makes me weep with joy. I would sleep out there if I were you. If you installed a toilet, there'd be no reason to ever leave! Very nice work.

how did you come up with the design?
it was all on the fly..I had an idea of the layout but it just kept growing and growing. In fact today i was looking at a wine fridge and an ice maker since i have so much room on the inside.

If i can pull more power from th electrical box im going to do it.

yeah its a bummer bro...its the price you pay to live in so.cal over half a million bucks and you still have neighbors.

I have a few other houses that i rent out...i was looking to buy up in the hills but got a very nice deal on this place which i plan to flip at the end of the year. I have been in here 6months and have already gained over 65K in prop value.

A little OT here, but I'm looking to make the move to SoCal and am researching my options. What can I expect to pay for a decent 3br 2bt house (ranch/colonial, whatever just no twnhse). Also what are the good areas of SoCal neighborhood-wise?

BTW, kick ass bbq island. I've always had great ideas in my mind to improve my living space, on problem is I don't have quite the handyman skills to pull it off like you have.

What did you spend the 5k on? Not just framing material and a kegerator and plywood? Looks great
