No. That was a Presa Canario. Mastiffs (esp. Neapolitans) are generally very lovable dogs that don't go for the hunt. Presa's on the other hand have a pitbull like mentality in that without proper training, they can be vicious.

My cousin has a 220+ lb Mastiff. He is a drooling slobber-monster. Good thing he's friendly.
