How about the worst car-related names ever ?

My picks (I don't hate these cars, just the names):

Citroen -- translates to "lemon" in English

Nova -- in Spanish means "doesn't go"

Maxima -- pet peev of mine, this word is PLURAL, dammit!

anything made-up -- Impreza, Supra, Altezza... Whateva!

Edsel -- Hey, wait a minute; I've never understood why folks dislike this poor man's name.

What's your fave?

 

The Ford "Aspire". What does it aspire to be... A real car?

there once was this car made by kia, with a name of... sexually transmitted vaginal disease...

 

SKODA - kinda sounds like a bagel with some kind of filling.
the Hyundai - reminds me of a porn site.

 

Achieva. So bad, the critics routinely called it the Underachieva!

 

It's true that sometimes these bad names are really appropriate (for POS cars that is...).

I.e., Yugo -- I stay.

Recent Nissan products demonstrate the opposite (in my opinion). Silly, made up names for very good cars.

Aspire notwithstanding , Ford really kicked butt in the '60s with great (real) car names. Mostly after powerful animals.

Anyway, it's just my opinion. Keep it comin' guys

 

Chevrolet had put out quite a few bad names:

Citation
Celebrity
Corsica
Cavalier

I don't care how good the cars might be, I would refuse to own any of those because I would be embarrassed by the stupid name.

My favorite weird car name (and I've seen one in person) is the Humber Super Snipe. It's weird enough to be cool.

Because after you buy it, Ford is going to f*ck you w/ it up the ass!!!
