I would give it back. Couldn't keep that on my conscience. But what if it was intended to be given to whoever picked that up?
too much karma for me.
I would have to give it back....BUT I would take it on myself to do it...I would not report it to my boss or give it over to someone else...you do NOT know the intentions of others in this case.

i would think twice about it being a possible set up at work,.......if u return it you keep your job,..if you dont you are fired....but id keep it and find another job if that was the case
if there was nobody's name on the envelope, that shit would've been mine. i would've kept my mouth shut and kept it movin'. now if there was someone's name on it or associated with it, i regretfully would've turned it in too.
kinda reminds me of "American Gangster" when russell crowe's character found a mil in unmarked bills and turned it in. ain't no way in hell...
anyway, some people are honest to a fault, like stupidity. (hypothetically)like your moms is going blind and needs an eye operation. you find 30g's and turn it in to only get a $300 reward. that's stupid and she's was lucky. lucky that her manager was honest, and lucky that the family of the deceased were good people because it hardly ever ends up like that.
now that i think about it, it's really contingent on what's going on in my life at the time. i can't go missing out on blessings because of somebody else's definition of self righteousness.

Do you think it's even nearly worth to give $30,000 for employee leaving this job?

both your conscience and pocket will feel good. So, win, win situation.
