Jump on grenade, you're sure to die.
At least attempt to throw the GD thing out of the window and possibly all survive.

I'm pretty sure there wasn't time to grab it and throw it out. Even the dumbest terrorist would know you always cook the nade before the throw.

 

I'd do whatever my training told me to do. . . in this case, probably get something on the grenade. . . like a human body.

Your assertion would be valid, except that the current forms of grenades (particularly the ones being used by guerilla forces) are designed to optimize shrapnel, not to optimize explosive power.

He chucks it back out the window, chances are good that he'd have just brought the elevation of the shrapnel to neck-up height. Compound that with a short fuse, and it's a delightful little recipe for group FAIL.
