Being an ass man, I've come to contemplate the same question. After much deliberation, I feel that each type of underwear has it's own time and place. Let's concentrate on the thong and the "regular" panty.
Now, the thong has the advantage of hiding those embarassing "lines" that regular panties show in tight pants. Again, being an ass man, I like tight pants. Point, thong.
Now once the pants are off, the regular panty covers more which leaves more to the imagination. Along with that, the regular panty is more intimate. A girl in lingere is much more alluring than a girl simply naked (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with a girl completely naked
). There's a reason why Victoria's Secret and Fredricks of Hollywood do so well. Point, panties.
So ladies and gentlemen of the jury, each has it's own place in this world. Both being wonders of engineering and design, we have the lovely ladies to thank for wearing them. It's not the underwear, but what's she's got under her wears that matters.
