I believe CS takes about 7k per person of upstream bandwith. So a cable modem with 30k upload can hold 4 people! (wow fun!)

I usually count on a 7k/person bandwith goal when setting up servers.
Something to keep in mind

Want to bet? Its just that you won't get better than 45 kb/sec down and 225+ kb/sec up to a cable modem. Believe me, I know!
